Hi everyone. We wanted to give you a head’s up that construction for a a new residence at the College of the Rockies trailhead will begin this fall. The construction management team will likely be on site by September 11 or 12. Work will commence on the access road and underground servicing very quickly after that. Please respect any signs in the construction area and give crews space. This work will necessitate the moving of the Community Forest entrance structure that currently exists on College property at the start of the Gateway Trail, as well as the re-creation of some of the existing trails. The College is willing to take on both the structure relocation and the required modifications to the existing trails in an attempt to minimize the impact of the construction work on Community Forest users.
